Returning Players/Teams

• If your child played last year, we have copied over your information - including your child's previous team. Simply review and update any necessary information.
• With a few exceptions, returning teams have been promoted to the next grade in the system.  Let us know if any adjustments need to be made.

New Players/Teams

• If your child is new to the program, signups are easy.  If you know what team they want to join, please specify. Otherwise, we will assign them to a team.
• Existing Tuttle travel teams are welcome and encouraged to join!  Contact us with any questions.
• All players must live in Tuttle school district or attend Tuttle Public Schools.

Sign-ups

Register online.  Registration deadline is October 1st.  Email TuttleYouthBasketball@gmail.com with any questions.  One of our officers will respond.

• Players can sign up by grade (1st - 6th). If your child is not on a team, he/she will be placed on a team.
  • Kindergarten and T1 can play in 1st grade division.
  • Grades 3rd – 6th will have an A and B division based on skill level.
  • Teams are not fully set until officially reviewed and approved by Tuttle Youth Basketball officers, which usually occurs just prior to practices beginning in early October.  Your player's coach will contact you once the teams are set to let you know about practice times, etc.
• The signup fee is $65 and each team will be responsible for their own uniforms. Company contacts for uniforms are available upon request.
• Are you a coach? We will have several returning teams and coaches, but we will need coaches for first grade teams and a few other grades, so complete the volunteer section in the sign-up form. 
• We have a parent waiver that must be reviewed and signed (digitally).  As a league, we will adhere to any local ordinances put in place by the schools to protect our patrons and players.

Practices

Practices will start in early October as teams and coaches are set.  Practice locations will be the Tuttle Elementary Gym, Tuttle Intermediate Gym, Tuttle Middle School Gym, and the Tuttle High School Auxiliary Gym.  Practice time sign-up priority given to 1st and 2nd grade in the Intermediate Gym due to player ages and goal requirements (8ft). 

Rules

• 1st and 2nd grade
  • Uses a 27.5 (Youth) basketball
  • Plays on 8ft goals
  • No full court press
• 3rd thru 6th grade
  • Uses a 28.5 (Women's) basketball
  • Plays on 10ft goals
  • Full court press allowed in 4th thru 6th grade
• Free throw rules
  • 1st grade will be shot from 12′
  • 2nd grade will be shot from 13′
  • 3rd grade will be shot from 14′
  • 4th – 6th grade will be shot from 15′
  • All grades will shoot 1-1 upon the 7th team foul by the opponent and 2 shots upon the 10th
• COYBA League Rules

Games

Season begins December 10th and runs through the end of February with post-season playoffs immediately following (first week of March). Expect 8-12 regular season games. No games will be scheduled over Christmas Break. Regular season games are scheduled for Saturdays and/or Sunday afternoons. Post-season playoff games can be scheduled on weeknights and weekend over the course of the playoff week in early March.
